Co Director/Business Manager
Kelly has been with Dance Studio of Maine since 2009 assisting with the day to day management and operations of the studio. After receiving her degree in Criminal Justice she decided that she wanted to take another path in her career and shifted to business/management. She ran a successful tile company for several years before coming to DSOM. “I love my job. I love being able to have the connection that I do with the children, teachers and parents. Seeing the kids come up the stairs everyday excited to go to class puts a smile on my face.” Kelly lives in Gorham with her husband, two children and two step children. Her daughter Mikki is a Company Dancer. “What Trish and all of the teachers here have done for my daughter is something so special and I will forever be grateful for them. She would not be who she is today without this “family” she is a part of. I know I work here and could seem biased, but I can say with 110% assurance and confidence that bringing your child here, no matter what age or ability, is giving them a gift. They will thrive, and they will be nurtured. I am proud to say that I work in an environment with professional educators whose missions are to help these children be the best people they can be, and not just on the dance floor. I truly look forward to coming to work everyday.” In addition to her role at DSOM, Kelly is also the Co-Founder/Director of the Portland Sea Dogs Dance Team and Crushers Dance Crew. She also runs a small apparel line SYG (Support Your Girls) which donates proceeds of their profits to cancer research in Maine. Kelly enjoys volunteering in her community including her role as Assistant Volunteer Director for the Tri for Cure.
