Classroom Attire
General Information
All dance shoes are to be purchased through the Dance Studio. We offer high quality shoes at a less expensive price than some of the big box stores. All shoes are fit to give your dancer a year’s worth of growth. Classes will be fitted for shoes on the first few weeks of class.
Tiny Tots
Form fitting clothing of any color is acceptable for all dancers. Hair should be pulled back off of the neck and face. White ballet shoes are to be worn.
Ballet
Form fitting clothing of any color is acceptable for all dancers. Hair should be in a ballet bun. Please see your instructor for easy tips on how to get your dancers hair in a ballet bun. Pink, skin toned or black ballet shoes can be worn.
Jazz | Contemporary | Musical Theatre
Form fitting clothing of any color is acceptable for all dancers. Shorts may be worn but should be fitted. Hair must be pulled back off of the neck and face. Tan jazz shoes without ties for jazz and musical theatre. Contemporary class is done barefooted.
Acro
Form fitting clothing of any color is acceptable for all dancers. Barefoot with footless tight is required.
Tap
Form fitting clothing of any color is acceptable for all dancers. Shorts may be worn but should be fitted. Hair must be pulled back off the neck and face. Tan tap shoes for ballet/tap combo, level 1 and 2. Level 3 and up are black tap shoes.
Hip Hop/Groove
Students are permitted to wear loose clothing with the exception of jeans or school clothes. Sweat pants or baggy shorts are great and a loose fitting t-shirt or tank. Please do not wear street shoes to class. Carry your sneakers in with you to keep our floors clean and free of dirt.
Adult Students
We do not have a dress code for adult students. Wear what is comfortable and lets your body breath and move.
